One of the biggest dilemmas one faces when choosing lighting is the issue of space. Not only are many systems cramped to begin with, but limited space limits the amount of lighting you can put inside of a system due to the physical size of the lights as well as the heat they emit. When you add the proximity of lighting's deadliest enemy (water), your choices for adequate lighting for your system are dramatically reduced-until now.
Current-USA's High Output (HO) T-5 lighting meets the requirements that both advanced aquarists and shop owners are looking for: Compact size, low heat production, high light output and low electrical costs. T-5's are a compact fluorescent bulb measuring approximately 5/8" in diameter (hence the T-5 for 5/8"). Due to their size and efficiency they run extremely cool (only warm to the touch) so they can be placed in close proximity to one another to maximize the use of a limited space while yielding the maximum amount of light. Current-USA's High Output T-5's pound for pound are also brighter than both VHO and U-Shaped Compact fluorescent bulbs. In fact, a Current-USA 54w T-5 HO lamp emits up to 20% more light than a 65w Compact Fluorescent, while at the same time drawing 20% less electricity.
Now, if that's sounding like a lighting solution with all the answers, let's take it one step further and look at how the Current-USA Nova Extreme T-5 HO retrofit kits' overall design makes them the best way to add T-5 lighting to any system. First, the reflector is specially designed to maximize the light output from the T-5's down into the aquarium, nearly doubling the lumen output from the lamps alone. The reflectors mount easily into even the narrowest of canopies or shelves. Now, the biggest concern for most shop owners and hobbyists is safety, and Current-USA takes this above and beyond. Current-USA utilizes the patented BJB moisture resistant end caps, which lock out moisture and salt from the connections, ensuring trouble-free service and optimal performance from the T-5 lamps. Now, no retrofit kit would be complete without mentioning the ballast, and Current-USA's electronic ballast is the best performer in the industry. Not only does it run cooler and more efficiently than other ballasts on the market, but it drives the lamps' output over 50% more than the competition.
When considering your next installation or configuring your store's display tanks, consider T-5 retrofit kits. They are a quick and easy way to optimize the look of your aquarium or display. To take full advantage of what T-5 can offer, insist on the Current-USA Nova Extreme T5HO Retrofits-any other T-5 pales in comparison.
